ShapardResearch is a primary market research firm headquartered in Oklahoma and specializes in both quantitative and qualitative research.
Founded in 2004, ShapardResearch has conducted quantitative studies in every state in the continental United States and has worked for some of the nation’s largest companies, such as U.S. Foodservice, Post Foods, RedBox, and Cox Communications.
ShapardResearch has conducted a variety of studies for governments including the city of Tulsa, the city of Lawton, the city of Enid, the Enid School Board, the Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG), the Oklahoma Tourism Department, and the Tulsa Authority for the Recovery of Energy (TARE) Board.
ShapardResearch operates its own call center for quantitative research studies requiring outbound data collection, a rarity among alike firms that typical subcontract to large, cheap call centers.
For qualitative research, ShapardResearch also houses a state of the art focus group facility, complete with live streaming services provided through FocusVision.
SoonerPoll, which is a brand of ShapardResearch, is Oklahoma’s only independent, non-partisan pollster, conducting and producing more publicly released polling on the opinions of Oklahomans than all other polling firms in the state combined. SoonerPoll has been the pollster of record for the state’s second largest newspaper, The Tulsa World since 2005, and routinely performs polling for News 9 and News on 6, the state’s most watched television news in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
In 2014, Nate Silver’s 538Blog, which was owned by the New York Times and now ABC News, rated 337 pollsters in the nation, and SoonerPoll was rated the BEST pollster in the state of Oklahoma and in the TOP TEN percent of best pollsters in the nation.
